A brief description of the institution’s main campus and other aspects of the institutional boundary used to complete this report:
In the heart of Waterloo Region, at the forefront of innovation, the University of Waterloo is home to world-changing research and inspired teaching. At the hub of a growing network of global partnerships, Waterloo will shape the future by building bridges with industry and between disciplines, institutions and communities.
The majority of Waterloo’s activities are located on the South Campus at 200 University Ave, Waterloo, with satellite campuses in Kitchener, Cambridge, and Stratford, and outlying research facilities across southwestern Ontario. Locations which are owned and operated by the institution are included within the institutional boundary, including all main site locations.
The notable exclusion is Waterloo’s four Affiliated and Federated Institutions of Waterloo – St. Paul’s University College, Conrad Grebel University College, Renison University College, and St. Jerome’s University College. Although these institutions have a close relationship to the University and there is a high degree of overlap on academic programming and student activity, they maintain operational policies and most administrative functions separate from the University of Waterloo. As such, operational practices are not uniform between the affiliated colleges and the University, and would make it impossible to accurately complete most STARS credits.
