A brief description of how sustainability is included prominently in new student orientation:
Points were not claimed in this credit due to the lack of prominent sustainability activities and programming in our new student orientation.
However, it is important to note that during orientation week, EnviroWestern is a key player in the greening of the campus. Activities include organizing environmental awareness displays and collaborating with Facilities Management to increase the number of recycling bins in high-traffic areas. Also, sophs are given presentations about EnviroWestern during their training and also an EnviroWestern button in preparation for orientation week.
