APC fund
No
A brief description of the open access APC fund:
No, Western University no longer supports an OA fund because it was only able to support a very small number of authors, and was not a sustainable model for supporting OA. Western Libraries does support OA publishing through memberships with publishers and organizations that provide discounts on APCs. Using funds to support memberships is a more sustainable model as it supports OA infrastructure, and is becoming more common in many institutions rather than OA publishing funds. More information on Western Libraries financial support for OA is here: https://www.lib.uwo.ca/scholarship/oasupport.html
