Our program is guided by many governing & licensing bodies; but our overarching guidance comes from the Occupational Health & Safety Act (Ontario). See Appendix B attachment for our governing legislation. Key components include Biosafety, Lab Safety, Nuclear Safety (X-Ray, Laser, Radiation), Workplace Safety, Workplace Health (employee screening & an Occupational Physician and Nurse to administer things like TB shots, flu shots, etc.), Disability Management & Return to Work (Well-being). A standardized electronic safety management system is planned to be implemented in 2021.
