A brief description of the institution’s formal community partnership to advance sustainability:
The EMBI will strive to work with public- and private-sector partners throughout the New North region of Wisconsin to make the region synonymous with sustainability and environmental leadership. The EMBI provides outreach services to businesses and agencies that seek options for addressing environmental problems, incorporating student participation in campus/community collaborations whenever possible. The EMBI helps strengthen and connect academic programs to analyze these issues and seek solutions, as well as promotes research by faculty and students aimed at solving local, regional, and global environmental problems.
