A brief description of the program:
Summer e-mailings to residents explicitly mention waste reduction. Students are asked to consider unpacking new items before coming to campus, to use re-usable boxes and tubs, to send boxes and tubs home (if someone is moving them in by car/truck). Specific advice is provided about which packing materials can be recycled on campus (cardboard) and which cannot (styrofoam).
