Paper presented at NACUBO in 2016, titled:"The Campus Sustainability Path: The Case of the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh." Paper presented at AASHE in Minneapolis in 2015 on how the UWO developed its biogas programs. Various presentations of UWO's biogas systems at Biocycle meeting and MREA annual sustainability summit in Custer, WI, June 2015. Paper presented on the policy challenges of campus sustainability at the annual meeting of UW System campuses, Nov 2016, Platteville, WI.. Paper presented on developing a sustainability curriculum at UWO at the annual meeting of UW System campuses, Nov 2016, Platteville, WI.

NEW ERA includes 13 institutions of higher education, including 4-year colleges, 2-year colleges, technical colleges, and a tribal college. The Sustainability Task Force of NEW ERA began in 2009, and has been a venue to share best practices. Specific projects include a common high school sustainability course for college credit, a sustainability awareness contest for college students, developing a website of expertise in the region, and work towards bringing engineering degree programs, including environmental engineering, to the region. UW Oshkosh is also participates in activities of AASHE, NACUBO, and UMACS, and the American Council On Renewable Energy.
