Data source(s) and notes about the submission:
On-campus and commuter residents are not specifically tracked at the University at this time. Calculations were made based on the assumptions used in the Clean Air-Cool Planet Campus Carbon Calculator and reported on the ACUPCC website's Greenhouse Gas Inventory. These assumptions used the average residence hall population and assumed those students to be residential, non-commuter students, leaving 64% of the student base as a commuter population. Similarly, 90% of the faculty and staff population were considered to be commuter population and were calculated as such for the purposes of this credit. Part-time students are also not tracked at the University at this time. All data reported for this credit is identical to the data reported on the ACUPCC website. The measurement used for materials composted is in cubic yards; UWRF had 100CY of composted materials in the baseline (2005) year and 120CY in the performance (2012). Weight of materials composted was calculated using 1350 pounds per cubic yard from http://www.google.com/urlsa=t&source=web&cd=1&ved=0CBgQFjAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.mass.gov%2Fdep%2Frecycle%2Fapprovals%2Fdsconv.pdf&rct=j&q=weigh%20of%20cubic%20yard%20compost&ei=EQ43TsWiNeKosQLCkImhDw&usg=AFQjCNEcjGGdevhNKRVmVnYDpy1BWX_NCw&cad=rja
