The Chief Diversity Officer is responsible for leading the university’s efforts to foster and cultivate diversity and inclusiveness as a fundamental institutional value and resource. The Chief Diversity Officer works with individuals and units across the campus to support the development and implementation of programs that create “a supportive community that embraces our differences and builds understanding.” The Chief Diversity Officer is also responsible for providing oversight and coordination for Affirmative Action and Equal Employment Opportunity programs and compliance with federal and state laws.
