Jesse H. Ames Suites (Ames Suites) opened in Fall 2012 and is the newest residence hall on the UWRF campus. In 2013 it was awarded LEED-NC v2009 Gold Certification from the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), details linked here: http://www.usgbc.org/projects/uwrf-jesse-h-ames-suites http://www.gbig.org/activities/leed-1000004450 The Falcon Center has also been under construction during the past few years. The building encompasses two other existing buildings. Part of the new portion of the building opened January 2017 with the rest opening for the Fall 2017 semester. Due to the building encompassing 2 existing ones and none of the new areas formally open until 2017, we will not be including that information in this report. We will include that information on our next report.

All projects must be approved through the Division of Facilities Development (DFD) which is responsible for staffing the State Building Commission and developing and implementing the biennial State Building Program. The program includes the construction of new buildings and the remodeling, renovation, and maintenance of existing facilities for all state agencies and the University of Wisconsin System. The division provides technical advice, project management, and field oversight of construction projects; and contracts for architecture/engineering services and construction work.
