A brief description of how sustainability is included prominently in new student orientation:
Orientation includes a main presentation where sustainability is addressed. A slide show presentation includes several slides pertaining to sustainability initiatives on campus. Our Admissions Office distributes an Academic Planner to all transfer students and first-year students during orientation. Sustainability is featured in the planner. Dining services and residential living prominently includes campus sustainability initiatives. Examples include recycling, composting, sustainable food operations, ban on water bottles, the Greenest Resident Room, move-in and move-out, promoting walking across campus.
