A brief description of the campus climate assessment(s) :
In 2015 a Campus Climate Survey was sent to all employees and students giving them opportunity to provide essential information regarding their own experiences and observations as a member of the university community and offering suggestions for change. "Campus climate" is defined as the campus environment as it relates to interpersonal, academic, and professional interactions. In 2004 and 2008, the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point also conducted university-wide surveys in order to assess the diversity climate on our campus. Responses from previous UWSP climate surveys have led to increased funding for diversity and inclusion initiatives, including: •Hate/Bias Response (Hate Response Team and Online Reporting) •Funding for a Case Manager Position The results of the current survey will provide important information about the campus diversity climate and will help inform University efforts to ensure that the environment is conducive to working and learning for all members of our campus community.
