Staff from the Office of Sustainability contacted each department for an list of all faculty and staff doing research. They were asked to provide a description of their research. Office of Sustainability staff reviewed the descriptions to determine if their research was related to sustainability.
The university Office of Research and Sponsored Programs provided a report of all active research gotten through grants and other funding sources. That list was cross-referenced against department responses to avoid double counting.
