A brief description of how the institution ensures compliance with green building design and construction guidelines and policies:
The Division of State Facilities is accountable for implementing the sustainability policies of the State of Wisconsin Building Commission and for reporting on the results of these policies. Capital project and capital project portfolio performance information will be provided at least two times each year to the Commission. Verification reporting is done during project design, during project construction, following construction and reporting is done on construction results and information is published. The Residential Living building renovation projects utilized the LEED EB-OM as a framework for the design and construction processes. LEED EB-OM was attempted but not achieved. In addition to design and construction processes of renovation projects, Residential Living is attentive to environmental stewardship in its building operations and efforts by including caring for our financial and environmental resources in a sustainable manner as an element of our mission statement.
