The residence halls on campus compete to reduce energy use. The competition lasts two months each semester. The winning building gets a celebratory event.

A brief description of the measured positive impact(s) of the campaign(s):
The competition last occurred in the 2011-12 academic year and is occurring again in the 2013-14 academic year. The 2011-2012 academic year competition used 52% less electricity than the 2010-2011 competition time frame, while in the pre-competition period consumption had risen by 12%. In addition to the competition, retrofits in the buildings and weather could have influenced consumption.
