USU retro-commissions existing buildings, focusing on energy consumption and comfort level. The university monitors water use for the entire campus and uses green cleaning methods and some green cleaning products, low VOC paint, and 100% recyclable carpet tiles with post-consumer content. USU uses environmentally friendly materials in remodeling. Retro-commissioning minimally considers the surrounding site.
