- The State of Utah requires state buildings achieve LEED Silver or higher. The state also requires the following credits: water efficient landscaping- Reduce by 50%, enhanced commissioning, construction IAQ Management Plan- During Construction, low-emitting materials- adhesives and sealants, and low-emitting materials- paints and coatings.
- All USU buildings must undergo a 50-year cost analysis.
- All USU buildings are metered and monitored for energy efficiency.
