The mission of the Access and Diversity Center is to promote access and full involvement in all aspects of student life at Utah State University. This center serves as a catalyst for the creation of a campus and community environment where all people are free to affirm and celebrate their differences, including but not limited to differences of race, sex, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, class, age, ability, and parental or veteran status.

A brief description of the diversity coordinator's position:
Under the direction of the Vice President for Student Services, the Diversity Specialist supports the implementation and coordination of strategies and initiatives that lead to a more inclusive and vibrant university community. Key related outcomes include enhanced recruitment, retention, and success of underrepresented students and staff. The Diversity Specialist leads the Bias Response Team; Chair the USU Diversity Council; lead the Aggies Think Care Act program; support on- and off-campus initiatives designed to support a diverse and inclusive university community; coordinate the annual process of tracking, monitoring, and reporting on division-wide diversity-related data, indicators and initiatives; and assist in the coordination of a variety of university programming and outreach efforts designed to support an inclusive university climate and the success of underrepresented students.
