A brief description of the postconsumer food waste composting program:
ARAMARK has contracted with Natural Organic Process Enterprises, LLC (NOPE) to pick up organic waste generated at Shafer Court Dining Center twice weekly – approximately 3,000 pounds per week. The organic waste will be delivered to the McGill composting facility located in Waverly, VA. McGill specializes in composting biodegradable materials from industrial, municipal and agribusiness sources. McGill has been selling premium compost products for over 20 years. ARAMARK has contracted with NOPE until June, 2013.
