A brief description of how sustainability is included in new employee orientation:
Sustainability has been incorporated into the materials provided to all new employees during the Summer 2011 New Employee Orientation, held on June 29, 2011. First, a slide highlighting sustainability efforts and resources on campus was included in the presentation that was given to all new employees. Second, all new employees are provided an orientation CD with information about Virginia Tech. A new Sustainability Brochure was created and included on each orientation CD. The Sustainability Brochure highlights the history of sustainability at Virginia Tech, provides information about the Office of Energy and Sustainability, Virginia Tech’s achievements to date, sustainability tips for the workplace, and sustainability-related resources for employees throughout the Virginia Tech campus.
