This program brings a select group of doctoral students and post-doctoral scholars interested in pursuing academic careers to Blacksburg for two days of workshops and interaction with host departments.
Visiting Scholars -- http://www.advance.vt.edu/resources_links/visiting_scholars.html
The Visiting Scholars Program provides funding to departments for short campus visits by potential faculty candidates to attract their interest in future faculty positions. Proposals are accepted throughout the year.
Graduate Student Diversity Scholars -- http://graduateschool.vt.edu/diversity/scholars_program
What is a Diversity Scholar? Diversity scholars are graduate students who specialize in and advocate for the awareness, knowledge, and skills associated with diversity and inclusion in the Graduate School and greater community. A diversity scholar's goal is to create dialogue, provide advocacy, and implement change for a more diverse and inclusive experience for all graduate students, faculty, staff, and administrators.
