A brief description of the methodology used to complete the course inventory :
We went through the Course Offerings list for Fall 2017, Winter 2018, Spring 2018, Fall 2018, Winter 2019, and Spring 2019. Course descriptions were pulled from the course offerings list, which is built from the University Catalog.
How were courses with multiple offerings or sections counted for the figures reported above?:
Each course was counted as a single course regardless of the number of offerings or sections
A brief description of how courses with multiple offerings or sections were counted:
We counted each course as an individual course. Sections of courses like Writing 100 or Introduction to Biology are taught by different professors who have different themes for their courses. As an example, some of the Writing 100 courses have an environmental or nature theme to them, and we thought this would count as a sustainability-inclusive section, while the other Writing 100 sections would not. We only included those specific sections that had a relation to sustainability in our inventory.
