WSU offers multiple sustainability professional development and training opportunities throughout the year. The largest event offered is the annual Intermountain Sustainability Summit which takes place over two days every March. All WSU faculty, staff, and students are invited to participate in this event for free or a significantly reduced cost. This Summit is also open to the public and typically draws about 400 attendees. Sustainability Summit
In May, 2018 the Sustainability Practices and Research Center brought in Susan Santone to conduct a sustainability curriculum development workshop for our faculty. 53 faculty were invited and 28 attended.
Additionally, this academic year, the Sustainability Practices and Research Center has offered a sustainability-focused faculty brown bag lunch series open to all faculty who desire to attend.
The Energy & Sustainability Office also offers several training opportunities throughout the year for faculty and staff centered on making their office operations more sustainable. This past year, the focus of these talks has been on waste reduction and recycling.

This past May 2018 four WSU faculty attended a 2-day AASHE Leadership Across the Curriculum Workshop. This was paid for by the Sustainability Practices and Research Center.
