A brief description of the institution’s community garden:
Located behind the Residence Hall on the main campus, the Weber State Community Garden is a student-managed and operated garden that is focused on providing fresh fruit and vegetables. The food grown in the garden is donated to the Weber Cares Food Pantry, donated to the Lantern House (a local shelter), or is taken home by volunteers. This garden is open to students, faculty, staff, and community members that wish to grow their own food or assist with growing food for others in need. The garden offers education on home gardening, composting, and advice for plant care. Volunteers gain practical experience working in a horticultural setting and the first pick of produce.
