Research Inventory

Inventory of the institution’s sustainability research:
Sustainability research activities include authorship (books, peer-reviewed journal articles), partnership with external organizations to conduct research projects, multi-disciplinary team and laboratory-based research, speaking engagements and presentations at academic conferences. The topics ranged from biodiesel production on campus; to building energy analysis and design strategies including passive / energy efficiency, social justice, and resiliency; superconductors and electric transportation; microgrid development; globalization; paleoclimate analysis; and microbial synthesized plastics and fuels.
A brief description of the methodology the institution followed to complete the research inventory:
Wentworth is primarily a teaching institution, however, faculty are encouraged to participate in scholarly or creative activity. A faculty sustainability survey was conducted in January 2021 to gather information on academic sustainability activities.
