A brief description of the institution’s main campus and other aspects of the institutional boundary used to complete this report:
Wentworth consists of a 31-acre campus in the Mission Hill neighborhood of Boston, MA. The campus includes over 1.4 million gross square feet of buildings, including academic, office, laboratory, student center & library, dining facility and catering operation, gymnasium, and residence halls. Other aspects of the campus include parking lots, pedestrian walkways, green space (Quad and other landscaped areas), and an athletic field. All areas under WIT's direct operational control are included in this report.
Which of the following features are present on campus and which are included within the institutional boundary?:
Present? | Included? | |
Agricultural school | No | No |
Medical school | No | No |
Other professional school with labs or clinics (e.g. dental, nursing, pharmacy, public health, veterinary) | No | No |
Museum | No | No |
Satellite campus | Yes | No |
Farm larger than 2 hectares or 5 acres | No | No |
Agricultural experiment station larger than 2 hectares or 5 acres | No | No |
Hospital | No | No |
The rationale for excluding any features that are present from the institutional boundary:
No data were available for the small satellite campuses in Taunton, Bedford, Canton, Fall River, Holliston, and Springfield (all in MA and presumed to be minimal impact). Facilities are assumed to be outside of WIT's operational control. Programs at these locations are focused on non-degree-granting professional certificates.
