Wentworth has pursued LEED silver equivalent construction practices since 2005, and 30% of building square feet meet these standards. Projects completed within the last five years include the renovation of Beatty Dining Hall and the construction of the Center for Engineering, Innovation, and Sciences (CEIS) building. Both were built to LEED Silver Equivalent standards and underwent review by the City of Boston to confirm that they met LEED equivalence for compliance with its Article 37 Green Building Ordinance. In addition, the City requires a checklist to address climate resiliency (beyond LEED).
