A brief description of how weather data or sensors are used:
Wesleyan has rain sensors on its irrigation system for Usdan University Center. Wesleyan investigated installing weather-informed irrigation at other locations several years ago, but it was too expensive at the time.
All of the athletic fields (with the exception of the Wadsworth fields), the President’s house yard, Chapel/92 Theater area, both sides of College Row, around Usdan University Center and the parking lot west of Beckham Hall, 70 and 74 Wyllys Avenue and both side of Wyllys Avenue from World Music Hall south entrance to the corner of Mt. Vernon are currently irrigated.
