The local living wage for one adult:
12.67
US/Canadian $
Percentage of student employees paid a living wage for one adult:
16.16
Information to support the living wage percentage reported above:
This data was calculated by the percentage of hours worked where a student was paid a living wage, as individual student wages and number of students are not collected internally in a centralized location. If the hours were paid at 12.67 or more then ITS categorized them as "At or Above Living Wage", else 'Less than Living Wage." The data is for Pay End Dates 7/1/2018 through 6/30/2019.
This data represents part-time undergraduate student workers, part-time graduate student workers and work study students. There is detail by department, as well as a pivot table showing that 16.16% of our students were paid at or above the living wage.
With regard to graduate research assistants and graduate teaching assistants, they are paid a flat stipend, so an hourly wage is not available.
