A brief description of the event(s):
Each year WKU puts on a massive Earth Day festival, we celebrate Campus Sustainability day with events and guest speakers, we have hosted the regional sustainability conference, we have had multiple film series held on campus as well as hosted guest speakers that focus on sustainability issues.
Events are held to educate about and promote sustainability within the dorms. Some events are treated as competitions between the various dorms, such as the 'Reduce Your Use' competition where dorms competed to have the lowest total energy use for the set period of time. We have also had dinners that are free to the students that focused on the value of local food (100 Mile Dinner) as well as the Legit Dinner which had a Fair Trade theme.
