A list of degree programs that have sustainability learning outcomes:
WKU currently has undergraduate degree programs in Environment and Sustainable Development through Geography and Geology and in Women’s Studies that have sustainability objectives. It has minor undergraduate degree programs in Water Resources and Sustainability through Geography and Geology. At the Graduate level, Geography and Geology offer Climate Studies and Environmental Science specializations and the Education department offers and Environmental Education Endorsement that all have sustainability objectives. Currently far fewer than 10% of students graduate with degrees having sustainability learning objectives. We are working to have one or more sustainability learning objectives introduced into General Education revisions so that in the future potentially all students will graduate with a degree that includes sustainability learning outcomes.
