Does the institution use timers to regulate temperatures based on occupancy hours in at least one building?:
Yes
None
A brief description of the technology used:
Occupancy determined energy management is utilized in all academic and administrative buildings. During non-occupied hours, temperatures are set back using a computerized energy management system, Metasys. The specifics of temperature setbacks are outlined in the University Energy Policy. Additionally, activities are consolidated into fewer buildings during summer months so that unoccupied buildings can be left to "coast" at higher temperatures.
