A brief description of the child care program, policy, or practice:
WKU Campus Childcare Center, located in Jones Jaggers Hall, offers Early Head Start (Birth to three) and Head Start ( 3-5). If families meet income guidelines( KY Poverty) then half a day of their care is free. If they wish, they may pay for the other half,or we suggest to them that they check out a child care subsidy organization. If the family qualifies then they at least get the opportunity to receive a half a day of quality care for free to allow them to work, continue education, etc. They can choose either 7:30-12:30 session or 12:30-5:30 session. About 60% of our families are students, and we also care for the children of faculty and staff.
