Data source(s) and notes about the submission:
WWU sources RECs from the MRO grid region due to the high carbon output in that area. Differences between carbon emissions from our local grid and emissions from the MRO grid amount to our RECs offsetting more than the carbon emitted from our local electricity consumption. Using emissions modeling software, over 98% of WWU emissions are offset by our purchase of MRO-based RECs.
