The institution completed an inventory utilizing academic curriculum vitae. Research topics where assessed based upon their inclusion within the three pillars of sustainability. Environmental and scientific research that directly impacts the field of sustainability. Researchers were only counted for individual departments.

Research inventory was conducted through an analysis of each departments website. At least one professor listed within the inventory is retired. He still actively participates in the campus community and provides classroom and a research role.
