A brief description of how the institution engages in public policy advocacy for sustainability at the municipal/local level, including the issues, legislation, and ordinances for or against which the institution has advocated:
The Campus Sustainability Coordinator is an active member of the City Councils Sustainability Advisory Committee. Through this relationship the institution is able to advocate for sustainable policy and ordinances. While the Office of Sustainability serves in a liaison capacity direct lobbying is not conducted in relations to sustainable policy. While this is the case the institution does attempt to provide support and council to the municipal government where appropriate.
