Optional Fields

A brief description of programs, policies, infrastructure investments, outreach efforts, and/or other factors that contributed to the diversion rate for construction and demolition waste:
In 2017-2018, we had three renovation projects - Whitman College Technology Services/WCTS, Reid Campus Center, and and Jewett Hall/Lyman House - and two new construction projects - Stanton Hall & Cleveland Commons. Stanton & Cleveland achieve LEED Platinum and Gold, respectively, and both were awarded the MRc2 credit for Construction Waste Management. Salvage from buildings that were cleared on the Stanton & Cleveland site may not be entirely accounted for in these figures, so this is a conservative diversion percentage.
