A brief description of the institution’s main campus and other aspects of the institutional boundary used to complete this report:
Yale's main campus—located in New Haven, Connecticut—and West Campus—located in Orange and West Haven, Connecticut—are the focus of this assessment. The main campus (which includes the Central, Medical and Athletics campuses) comprises 963 acres and has over 358 buildings totaling over 17 million gross square feet. Yale's West Campus is 145 acres, and includes over 1.7 million square feet of workspace. The institutional boundary is everything owned and operated by Yale.

The hospital is not included within the boundary because it is a separate facility—Yale does not own or operate it. However, it is within our boundary for reporting to The Climate Registry because it utilizes team, chilled water, and electricity from one of our power plants.
