A brief description of the institution’s wellness and/or employee assistance program(s):
In support of the University Academic Plan (UAP 2020-2025) priority of Living Well Together, York University is mobilizing resources to provide an inclusive and supportive environment that promotes positive well-being among all members of our community.

1. Counselling services are available for all York students on both our Keele and Glendon campuses to help students. Student Counselling, Health & Wellbeing Offices offer free walk-in counselling services at both campuses as well as virtual and in-person short-term ongoing counselling options. 2. Graduate Wellness & Counselling at the Faculty of Graduate Studies (FGS) aims to support and enhance the mental health and well-being of York University graduate students as they pursue their academic goals through the development and implementation of resources, services, and supports designed to help graduate students connect with their wellness. Among the services and programming offered is a fast-access Wellness Consultation service for graduate students. 3. The York University Psychology Clinic is a community mental health and training centre associated with the Department of Psychology in the Faculty of Health. The clinic utilizes the latest knowledge on effective assessment and treatment. The clinic provides a range of leading edge, effective mental health services to keep people of all ages living healthy, productive lives. 4. The Centre for Sexual Violence Response, Support & Education coordinates supports and resources for all members of the community that have experienced sexual violence, receives disclosures and complaints, facilitates safety planning, and assists survivors through the complaint process.
5. York University offers an Employee and Family Assistance Program (EFAP) that provides faculty, staff and their families with immediate and confidential support to help resolve work, health, and life challenges.
6. The Health, Safety & Employee Well-Being team at York University provides a broad range of services to the University community. We promote prevention as a key driver in ensuring a safe and healthy workplace. The Mental Health and Well-being Committee is comprised of faculty, staff and students who work together to promote a healthy, inclusive and supportive environment that fosters mental health and well-being among members of the York community.
7. York University is creating a holistic Well-being Strategy focused on understanding the current needs and priorities of the York community through a pan-university approach addressing well-being across all York campuses and sites. The goal of the strategy is that students, staff, faculty and instructors can flourish and be well in this shared environment. As the strategy begins to take shape, our Project Sponsors, Executive Committee and advisory groups will work together to establish well-being benchmarks and leverage evidence-based tools to inform future priorities."
